HI! Ahhhh I feel like it’s been a little bit since I wrote a note. I miss pouring my heart out to you! Business is good. Family is good. The world is still weird. My travel has been INSANE lately and I am off to PARIS this week so I thought it could be fun to tell you all about it.
Let’s go in order. Four weeks ago I was in Palm Beach with my friends at La Ligne (see above!) for a trunk show. Palm Beach is truly my stomping grounds from a million trips with Lilly Pulitzer. Things are BUSY in PB – make dinner reservations the second you book. Favorite restaurants:
Renato’s: the yummiest artichokes and pasta, best twinkly lights in the via’s, expensive but worth it!
Café Flora: please order a bottle of rose and the pasta Bolognese (I know they don’t go together but trust me).
Next stop. Three weeks ago I was in Captiva with Mr. Jane Win and honestly I LOVE the chill west coast of Florida so much. Sign me up for the golf cart lifestyle STAT. Go to The Mucky Duck for sunset and The Bubble Room for cake. If you know you know.
Last weekend I was in California and I feel like a hick saying – I had never driven up Hwy 1 for the classic ‘scenic’ west coast experience. If you haven’t either, it’s life changing. I was with a bff from college (pictured above!) so music was blasting, we stopped for shopping in Malibu and then landed in Montecito…I can’t believe I actually didn’t move there on the spot. Ca Dario for dinner. The Rosewood Miramar if you have recently won the lottery and need a place to stay 😉. Back in LA I went to Pizzana with my friends who started the restaurant and it is guaranteed THE BEST PIZZA that you can get east coast to west coast. Yes. I said that.
I am currently in PARIS. Or depending on when we send this I am leaving tonight. Now, it’s hard for me to cheat on Italy BUT….my bff Sol and I (you remember Sol from the breast cancer awareness blog and coin we did!) promised our daughters (who are also bff’s) a trip to Paris when they turned 16. Well covid and a whole bunch of things got in the way but now…they graduate from high school in 4 months (typing that literally just made me start crying) so we are going for it.
A long weekend in Paris with an insane itinerary. We have the COOLEST air b+b near the pantheon. We have walks planned from one end of the city to the other. We are going to a dark wine cellar for a champagne tasting. We have tickets to Moulin Rouge for a risqué dinner show. The weather is supposed to be 55ish and rainy but nothing is deterring us. I will be posting stories along the way so you know every detail. Here is what I am packing!
xx, Janie
