Expressing gratitude has always come naturally to me. My kids make fun of Mr. Jane Win and me because we’re always saying, “We are so lucky.” Even through some of my hardest times—divorce, losing my dad—I found myself reminding my daughters, “We have the best life.” I’ve always believed that while life isn’t always easy, we have the power to choose how we see it.

Every summer we head to a beautiful lake in New Hampshire, where life revolves around family, old friends, tennis, boating, swimming, and dinners at the tiny club that’s open from July 4th through Labor Day. Last week, I sat beside my 84-year-old aunt, my cousins, and their children (I adore them!). My dad’s friends stopped by to say hello (which I appreciate so much, it makes me feel connected to him, even though he is not with me). My friends’ kids stopped by, too. I looked around and felt overwhelmed by the beauty of a community built on generations—12-year-olds chatting with 80-year-olds, teenagers chasing little cousins down to the lake, lifelong friends who feel like family.

As I looked around the terrace, I noticed something else: so many people wearing Jane Win. It honestly took my breath away. When I started this company, I never set out to build a multi-generational brand. But it happened naturally. Daughters ‘stole’ necklaces from their mothers, mothers gifted pieces to their mothers, sisters shared matching coins, and families found words that connected them. Seeing our jewelry become part of those stories is one of my greatest joys.

That’s how the GRATITUDE coin came to life – it came naturally. We don’t create products by committee or endless testing—we create them from a feeling. Last year, our team kept coming back to one word: gratitude. We hoped you’d feel it too, and the response has been incredible. It’s become one of our best-selling coins, and it’s the piece I reach for most often.
I hope your summer is filled with GRATITUDE - the people, places, and moments that make you stop and say, “We are so lucky.”
