Note from Jane: Mother's Day 2026

Note from Jane: Mother's Day 2026

Being a mom is my number one job, my number one joy—my number one everything.

As my girls have grown, I’ve loved every stage. I loved the baby years, loved the toddler years, loved elementary school—even middle school! High school, college, and now adulthood… I truly love being their mom through all of it.

Lately, though, I found myself feeling a little sad because I couldn’t clearly remember what my girls were like when they were little. We didn’t have cameras in the same way we do now. There aren’t endless videos on our phones or thousands of photos in the cloud. I realized I had very few videos—and not many photos of the girls with me when they were small.

Then, randomly, Mr. Jane Win received a Legacy Box for Christmas and had a bunch of old tapes converted. Somehow the one video tape I had from my girls’ childhood was included—and it felt like my prayers had been answered.

Suddenly I had videos of my girls and me together!

It may sound silly, but it means more to me than I can explain. I love being a mom to adult children, but I also want to remember what it felt like to be a mom to these same women when they were little. Watching those videos takes me right back—to high chairs and messy meals, singing along to The Wiggles, and carrying them everywhere in a Baby Björn.

It felt like receiving a Mother’s Day gift that I can hold onto forever.

So instead of a big Mother’s Day push from me this year, I want to offer a reminder: it’s the little things that matter most.

It was a gift that—even while working all those years—I could drop my girls off at school every morning. We would sit at the kitchen island eating cereal and chatting before heading out the door. I was a single mom for so many years and I got my girls all to myself, it was heaven. Those moments were small then, but they add up to so much LOVE.

Today, the moments I treasure look a little different. They are texts from Tiki when she’s cooking and needs advice: “Mom—can you send me your chili recipe?”

Or Sabrina calling to borrow a pair of earrings for a law school formal: “Mom, when I come home can we go through your jewelry box and find something special for my dress?”

Being a mom happens quietly—every day. No matter the age.

Of course, at Jane Win we even have an entire collection dedicated to moms—our JOY collection. And yes, we make fun videos showing off our beautiful cast gold and mother-of-pearl flowers.

But truthfully, those aren’t what matter most. It’s the little hand that used to hold yours. The calls when they need you. The moments you share in the car on the way to violin practice.

Now… I’m probably going to get fired if I keep saying jewelry isn’t the best way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

So I’ll say this:

Spoil Mom.

Jewelry is a beautiful way to mark a moment and say thank you. And if you’re looking for something meaningful, these are my favorite pieces to gift the moms we love most.

Sending so much love this Mother’s Day,
