Valentine’s Day 2026
Every year I tell the same story about how Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. Hello! Are you listening?!?!?
Isn’t it funny how polarizing Valentine’s Day can be? As long as I can remember, you would hear people proclaim “I hate Valentine’s Day” as soon as the subject came up.
Hold Up.
HATE? VALENTINE’S DAY?
You know me well enough by now to know that I love hearts (I find them everywhere!), I think I exude ALL love languages, I want to spoil everyone I love with small and extravagant gifts, I love pretty and cute heart undergarments, I want jewelry to symbolize LOVE and lust and adoration…I am in love with LOVE and believe in its powers. Gah! Don’t throw-up I know it’s a lot but, it’s all true.
I find it DEVASTATING that kids may not make Valentine’s Day ‘mailboxes’ out of shoe boxes and bring valentines to their entire class. WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?!?
I find it incredibly REDEEMING that the number one (1!) Jane Win piece for 2025 was our Love Original Coin that I designed in 2018! That means that hope is not lost, that people are looking for and loving LOVE.
The Love Coin was the first one that I designed, heavily influenced by a trip to Capri and the gates that hid secret Italian gardens. Click through for a video that brings it all to life…
I will abstain from a million Valentine’s Day glory-stories. Like being asked out by Charles at the 6th grade Valentine’s Day class PARTY and walking on air all the way home. Or marrying my first husband ON VALENTINE’S DAY at a black-tie extravaganza in Boston (all the romance didn’t save that one!). Or ordering heart-shaped pizzas for Valentine’s Day parties with our blended family of 5, bringing our kids together with candy and true love. I will ABSTAIN!
But. Please. Be the person who loves Valentine’s Day. I swear, it is better on my side of the debate. It’s happier. There’s more candy. You smile and hug more. Not to be dramatic, but the world needs this holiday to stick 😉.
Tons of love and xx Janie
