A note from Jane: Jan 1, 2025
I am so in love with 2025 already! I feel like we need a fresh start, an optimistic ‘looking forward’ kind of year. It is with all that positive energy that we proudly launch our ‘word’ for 2025, GRACE.
As you may know each year on January 1st, we release a new coin with meaning. The entire team thinks about this, gauging the energy we feel, adding in the vibe we think the world needs for the coming 12 months. In 2021 we launched HOPE during Covid, in 2022 we needed BALANCE, 2023 we launched FAITH, 2024 we added COURAGE. This year, we all gravitated to the word GRACE, and we used the morning glory as the design to symbolize a renewed sense of hope – a flower in full sun.
The word grace is very simply defined as considerate in matter, simple elegance, and courteous goodwill. That meaning – really – that’s everything isn’t it? I have always said in times of turmoil (I remember this specifically when I got divorced, there was gossip and just – ugh terrible things swirling around me), that I wanted to look back and feel proud that I acted like a ‘lady’. Those words may feel a little dated, but to bring to a modern language: when things are GOOD and we have good fortune, we want to share that and treat those around us with a humble respect, and when things are BAD, we want to hold our head high, act with kindness, do the right thing. That to me, is GRACE.
I hope this word resonates with you as much as it does with us here at Jane Win. We are so proud to take GRACE into the new year. Sending all my best for the happiest 2025.
