All year, I live for summer. Don’t get me wrong, I love the seasons but when Mr. Jane Win and I move up to our lake house for the summer I am absolutely my happiest. As you may have known from following along, we sold my Dad’s farm when he died and kept his teeny boathouse/studio on the lake – not nearly enough room for our family of 7. And just as I started Jane Win (think scared of not having a paycheck and then buying a HOUSE) we found a non-winterized cottage on the lake. And then JUST before Covid hit we bought the house 2 doors down sight unseen, check out the recap on that quick renovation here). And then this winter, we tore it down and built a new house. Like. Dream house material.
So as I write this I am sitting in my new house, with boxes still to unpack (which makes me so uneasy) but also so completely HAPPY and content. The kids come and go all summer. Naomi is just back from Barcelona; Drew is here all month. Nicole is here with her lovely BF. Sabrina is here but leaving in a second for the rest of the summer in Cambridge. Tiki is flying in from GREECE in a few days. This is our summer house that evokes all the warm family ‘feels’ – it is our special place.
Nothing is better than a little REFRESH – time away to think about how lucky we are. You all have really SHOWN UP for us lately and helped us manage a pretty sticky situation with Target. We have been launching new product that frankly, ya’ll are buying so quickly I know we are frustrating you – I’m sorry we are working on it! But side note, if you see something you love please do not wait and buy it that second! I have been posting tons on Instagram stories and every single time you ask me who made my dress, where I got my shoes…LOVE that you notice! This dream closet dedicated to my favorite summer dresses, my go-to gladiator sandals and a peek into my kindle to see my summer reads (and I will be reading voraciously!). Enjoy these summer days friends. Spoiler alert we are launching our July collection TUESDAY July 5th…but you may see some new things popping up on our website this weekend 💋
