A Note from Jane
Hi guys! As you know I am still in New Hampshire, soaking up the sun and the family time before fall's jampacked calendar begins. I like to joke that our town on the lake is not your typical 'summer' town. That's why we love it! There is really only one restaurant to go out to, otherwise we're taking turns hosting dinner parties on our patios. One thing I do every night is light a Hotel Lobby Candle - whether I'm setting the table for dinner with our summer squad or spending the evening on the couch with a good read. Speaking of good reads, I just finished We Must Not Think of Ourselves from Jenna Bush Hager's book club list, here's a link to the book if you want to check it out. Lindsay! First and foremost, introduce yourself to those who don't know you (although I am sure so many of our customers do!).
I’m Lindsay, founder of Hotel Lobby Candle. I spent a decade writing and editing for magazines like Town & Country, Vogue, and Elle Decor (to date, I’ve traveled to 62 countries).
I live between New York City and Miami with my husband (who is also my business partner) and our mini long-haired Dachshund. Nothing brings me more joy than ordering a martini in a hotel lobby bar...and turn-down service is my love language.
You started Hotel Lobby Candle in 2020, quit your corporate job and took a leap of faith in your business. Tell us more about how HLC came to be.
In 2020, COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill.
One of life’s pleasures we missed the most was the magic of a long-awaited vacation (and we were pretty sure we weren’t alone).
So we had an idea: If we couldn’t leave our homes, could we bring the five-star hotel experience to us?
Each candle is inspired by scent memories from some of our favorite places...
