FALL MUST HAVE: The Charm Necklace

FALL MUST HAVE: The Charm Necklace

Posted by Jane Paradis on

So many of us have charm bracelets that we have added to over the years. They are conversation pieces and your own ‘history’ right there on your wrist. Mine holds memories of travel (the Eiffel tower), my hobby of the time (gold roller skates!), and milestone moments (confirmation cross). There is something to the look of a fully loaded charm bracelet - it shows the wearers loves and experiences. The latest trend has taken it even further - the CHARM NECKLACE. Unlike the keepsake bracelet of years past these necklaces are a more modern expression of who you are right now. You can buy them ‘loaded’ or make your own.

This is a big trend in jewelry and I am not the first to spot it. My BLOG-CRUSH The Adventurine, founded by the chicest industry expert, Marion Fasel, gives a little history:

The Adventurine: What's Hot Now

So here's the best news - there are tons of ways to get this look. Buy a 'complete' charm necklace, start with a classic 14k chain and build your own that will last a lifetime, or work with some fun costume companies to create something for the season.

If you are looking to start a charm bracelet (fine jewelry) and want the best...CHARMCO is amazing. I get lost in their vintage charms, and their selection of 'movable charms' is unmatched. I plan to start a charm necklace for each of my daughters immediately

Here are our favorite picks for ready-made charm necklaces:

Aurelie Bidermann $570

Jennifer Zeuner $330

Tai $120

Vintage KJL from Ward Vintage $250

Isabella Celini on Etsy $35

OVER THE TOP Sydney Evan $10,030.00

Here are a few (affordable) sites where you can make your own:

Jennifer Miller

Bauble Bar
